Named after Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, and King George V, and created between 1855-1921, this part of Docklands is rapidly regenerating as part of post-Olympics ‘New’ London.. You’ll see the regeneration developments of the last few decades: Emirates AirLineExCel Centre, City Airport, the Thames Barrier, University of East London, and the London Regatta Centre, as well as the huge residential developments taking place as you explore the remaining Victorian relics and vanishing industrial heritage of the area.
Along the way, discover industrial relicshidden historiestales of disasters, and meet characters like Keir Hardie, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Charles Dickens as we explore 200 years of history and happenings and find out how the Industrial Revolution, the Blitz, and recent regeneration projects have shaped the area.

We’ll finish off with lunch in one of the area’s last Pie & Mash shops if you fancy it – a perfect winter warmer.
